Something from my mind - Is it trash - is it garbage - I grew up listen to the greats from the late 60's and 70's but enjoy everything.
Welcome to Minds in a Landfill A realm somewhere between dreams and nightmares If you like what you hear or even if you don't leave me a comment on the message board. Peace Bob K aka Bob Midinite Acid Mannalo Al Grey

Story behind the song
This is actually two separate songs that by themselves just weren't complete. I brought them together and edit down the wording. The story is of an ancient war where at the end nothing is left except dust.
Lyrics
Mind Fills and Dust Soft sunsets kissed by bitter cold winds The flowers are all gone Brown fills the fields And gone is the bluebird’s song Smoke fills the air as fire sweeps across the plains All is fair game for the flames Yet as the trees fall victim to the heat Was there anything here to be gain? Winter winds touch the souls of the dying As death smiles down The water freezes over the wells Carcasses stare into the heaven from the ground Tears fill eyes and still no one weeps Words are spoken and nothing is heard Was there anything here to keep? Hundreds of wars pass and still where are the kings? As they swing their swords trying to fight the wind Nothing is gained – nothing is gained Streams of tears fall from the mothers of fallen sons Nothing is gained – nothing is gained As they plow the blood stained earth with their swords Nothing is gained – nothing is gained Daughters wait as the fields remain barren Nothing is gained – nothing is gained Theirs minds are closed to the spoken words Nothing is gained – nothing is gained Summer’s heat rains down on empty fields Silence wins again – silence wins again Dust covers bones from the howling winds Nothing is gained – nothing is gained The book waits for the words to be spoken Silence wins again. Where are the warriors fighting for the gods? Lying among the bones throughout the land Their eyes see nothing more yet nothing less As the tides slowly erode the sands Loneliness is the melody what the wind plays Whistling throughout the fallen lumber Where are the generals of nevermore? As their swords slowly turn to rust Weeping angles abandon this forsaken land As the warriors turn to dust. Loneliness is the melody what the wind plays Whistling throughout the fallen lumber SilentMindStorms 2006
